Product Details

SKU Code: DD/01/VH60

This watch is a faithful recreation of the classic 1940s–1950s Dirty Dozen-style military timepieces. While it draws heavy design inspiration from the originals, it benefits from modern upgrades—most notably the inclusion of a high-performance hybrid movement.

MWC's hybrid technology blends the best elements of traditional mechanical watchmaking with the reliability and convenience of quartz. Powered by a battery and regulated by a quartz oscillator, the movement drives mechanically actuated hands, offering the visual appeal of a sweep second hand—just like an automatic—without the need for daily winding or regular servicing. In essence, it functions like a mechanical watch, minus the spring, delivering precision with minimal maintenance.

Key Features:

  • Case: Heavy-duty, satin-finished 316L military-grade stainless steel
  • Dial: Black with luminous hands and markers
  • Strap: Historically accurate 1950s-style canvas strap (18mm width)
  • Movement: Hybrid quartz-mechanical with a sweep second hand
  • Functions: Subsidiary seconds dial, hacking feature, 24-hour hand
  • Glass: Plexiglass / Perspex (vintage-correct style)
  • Water Resistance: 5 ATM / 50 meters*
  • Lug Type: Solid fixed strap bars (military specification)
  • Guarantee: 24 months
  • Case Dimensions:
  • Diameter: 36.5 mm (excl. crown), 39 mm (incl. crown)
  • Lug-to-lug: 43 mm
  • Thickness: 13.5 mm

The final image shown features the original twelve "Dirty Dozen" manufacturers: Buren, Cyma, Eterna, Grana, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Lemania, Longines, IWC, Omega, Record, Timor, and Vertex. While MWC was not among them (having been founded in 1974), this watch captures the spirit and aesthetic of those iconic military timepieces.
